Termomeccanica Pompe signed on December 24th 2014 a Memorandum of Understanding with two local partners for the establishment of a local production company, whose aim is to design, manufacture and test pumps for Oil & Gas pipelines.

This joint venture was called JSC Transneft Oil Pumps, a.k.a. TOP, taking its name from the lead partner, Transneft JSC, the company that operates the Oil & Gas pipeline network of the Russian Federation. The other local partner is Konar JSC, a leading manufacturer of parts for pipeline located in Chelyabinsk, where TOP’s plant is also located, while Termomeccanica Pompe, who holds a 25% stake, plays the role of technological partner of the company.

The new JV’s factory was inaugurated on April 25th 2016. Its construction required an investment of approximately 45 million euro and was built in only 11 months.

To date, the plant employs about 200 employees and covers a total area of 23,000m², of which 15,000 m² dedicated to the factory, with a production capacity of about 200 pumps a year.

The 3,800m² testing center, which allows to test powers up to 25 MW and flow rates up to 35,000m³/h is also quite noteworthy.
